Typeform makes the best-looking form on the internet. Then it caps your responses and gates Salesforce.

We are not going to argue with you about Typeform's design. This page is about two specific things their own documentation describes: what happens when you hit a response cap, and what it takes to get an answer onto a Salesforce record.

Pricing and plan limits verified July 2026

Credit where it is due

What Typeform is genuinely great at

Typeform earned its reputation. Two of these are measurable.

  • The respondent experience is the best in the category. Their own 2024 report puts average completion at 47.3% against 21.5% for traditional forms. It is Typeform's own number about Typeform, and we are labelling it that way rather than dressing it up as independent research — but it matches what anyone who has filled one in already suspects. If completion rate is what you are optimising, take them seriously.
  • Their AI is fast and it is accurate. On 25 July 2026 we asked it for an 8-question survey; it produced all eight questions including correct yes/no branching in about 20 seconds. That is as good as this gets.
  • Brand and craft. A Typeform makes your organisation look like it cares. That is a real business outcome, not a vanity metric.
  • We will never fight Typeform on authoring or respondent UX, because we would lose, and because it would be dishonest to try.

The evidence

What their own documentation says

Nothing below is our characterisation of Typeform. Each item is either something Typeform publishes about itself, or something we observed firsthand in a real account and can show you.

The free tier is 10 responses a month

Not 10 per form — 10 for the account, per month. Observed on our own dashboard on 25 July 2026 as a banner reading “You can collect 10 form responses this month for free”, with a 0/10 meter and an “Increase response limit” upsell beside it.

Observed firsthand in our own Typeform account, 25 July 2026 (screenshot on file).

Paid caps are account-wide, and hitting one is destructive

This is the finding worth pausing on. Response limits apply across the whole account, not per form. Their help documentation states that at 100% of the limit every form goes private and further responses are permanently lost — or, if auto-upgrade is on, you are billed for the next tier instead. Either way, which of those happens is decided by a threshold rather than by you.

Salesforce is a plan upgrade, and the in-product path pushes Enterprise

The Connect tab's native card reads, verbatim: “Create with Salesforce — Send typeform responses to Salesforce as contacts, leads, and more. Available on Enterprise plans”, with an [Upgrade] button. Their public pricing page says the classic Salesforce integration starts at Business, $91 per month billed annually. The two do not quite agree; what both agree on is that it is a plan upgrade, not a feature of the plan you are on.

In-product card observed 25 July 2026 (screenshot on file); Business-tier statement per Typeform's published pricing page. 2026 pricing: $28/$56/$91 monthly billed annually, or $39/$79/$129 month-to-month.

The featured integration path is not Salesforce — it is Zapier

The path Typeform actually promotes in the Connect tab is “Generate a custom flow with Zapier AI”. That is a third subscription in the chain between your respondent and your CRM record.

Observed firsthand, 25 July 2026.

When you do get the integration, the mapping is 1:1 and thin

From Typeform's own integration FAQ: mappings are one-to-one only — no Lookup fields and no Record Types — and a picklist answer of “Other” fails outright against a restricted picklist. For a Salesforce org of any real shape, those three limits are the ones that hurt.

Editing an answered question deletes the answers

Typeform keeps only the 10 most recent published versions, and auto-deletes them after a year. Their own warning states that editing a question which already has responses permanently deletes that response data. Bulk authoring is a text paste of up to 6,000 characters into the AI; there is no Excel or Sheets question import, and the official workaround is to route your content through Google Docs or Google Forms first. After that, editing is one card at a time.

The recurring work is countable, even when it isn't clockable

We will not tell you how many hours this costs, because we do not know your team. We can tell you what Typeform's own FAQ says you must do: the Salesforce mapping is one field to one field, per form. So the number of hand-configured mappings you own is:

“fields mapped × forms × (1 + times a form changes)”

Four forms a year, ten mapped fields each, revised once each, is 80 mapping configurations a year. Substitute your own numbers — the formula is the claim, not the total. In AutoSurvey the count is zero, because the mapping step does not exist.

One-to-one per-form mapping model per Typeform's published Salesforce integration FAQ. The formula is arithmetic on their documented model, not a time estimate.

Stage by stage

The whole race, not the first lap

Every tool on this site is fast at stage one. The interesting question is what the other five stages cost you.

Questions people actually search for

What are Typeform's response limits?

The free plan collects 10 responses per month, account-wide. Paid plan limits are also account-wide rather than per form. Typeform's help documentation states that at 100% of the limit every form goes private and further responses are permanently lost, or auto-upgrade bills the next tier. Verified July 2026.

Does Typeform integrate with Salesforce?

Yes, on a paid plan. Typeform's pricing page says the classic Salesforce integration starts at Business ($91/mo billed annually); the in-product 'Create with Salesforce' card we saw on 25 July 2026 says 'Available on Enterprise plans'. Mappings are 1:1 only, with no Lookup fields and no Record Types.

Can I import questions into Typeform from a spreadsheet?

No. Typeform accepts a text paste of up to 6,000 characters into its AI; there is no Excel or Google Sheets question import, and the official workaround is to route the content through Google Docs or Google Forms first.

Paste your survey link and bring it over

There is a working Typeform importer. Paste the public Typeform link. The importer brings the questions and answer choices across. What moves is the survey definition — your questions and answer choices — rebuilt as a native Salesforce survey. Your response history stays where it is until you migrate it separately.

Import fidelity is still being verified against a range of real surveys, so check less common question types after import before you send live. You can run the whole thing in a sandbox first.
