AutoSurvey

AutoSurvey · surveys that run inside Salesforce

Survey answers, straight onto your Salesforce records.

AutoSurvey lets you create, send and run surveys inside Salesforce. It writes the answers and scores you choose to the Lead, Contact, Case or custom record your team already uses. No connector. No second tool.

Real product, sample data · 60 seconds, with captions. A customer answers a short survey about their support case. The score, the answer and the comment land in fields on that Case. Then a record-triggered Flow, built by the admin, opens a follow-up Task because the score is low.

One survey answer, on the record it is about

An example with sample data. A customer answers a survey about their support case. The rating and the score land on that Case.

AutoSurvey scores the response, then writes the fields you mapped.

2 · The Case shows it

Your team sees it where they work.

Reports, list views and record-triggered Flows can use the field. For example, a Flow can open a follow-up task when a score is low.

You choose what is written.

The survey author picks each field. AutoSurvey refuses a field that the author cannot edit.

A failed write never loses a response.

If a validation rule blocks the write, the response stays saved. The submission shows the result and the reason.

For Salesforce admins: how the mapping works The setup steps, and what it does and does not do.

How it works

  1. 1A survey runs for one Salesforce record, for example from an invitation, a record page or a Flow. AutoSurvey stores that record on the submission, on the server.
  2. 2In the survey settings, the author adds a mapping row. Each row has a source (a question or a score), the object it is written to, and the field.
  3. 3The author saves. AutoSurvey checks each row and refuses a field that the author cannot edit.
  4. 4The author releases the survey. The mapping is frozen with that release.
  5. 5A respondent submits. AutoSurvey calculates the score first, then writes the mapped values to the record.
  6. 6AutoSurvey records the result on the submission: Succeeded, Partial or Failed, with the reason and the time.

What it does

  • Writes answers and the score to fields on a Lead, Contact, Case or custom object record.
  • Converts each answer to the field type, with the same rules as the flat reporting object.
  • Works for each way a survey finishes: the survey page, the Flow runtime and campaign sends.
  • Builds a flat reporting object for each survey, with one row for each response, updated after each save.
  • Gives 11 Flow actions, such as Start Survey, Submit Survey, Get Answer, Get Score, Prefill Answers, Evaluate Route and Send AutoSurvey Invitation.
  • Includes three Flow templates for follow-up: a task and an owner alert for a low score, a recovery case, and a review request for a high score. An admin activates and adjusts them.

What it does not do

  • Does not find a record from an answer. A typed email address does not choose the record.
  • Writes only to the one record the survey runs for.
  • Does not write the responses of a screened-out respondent.
  • Does not write to users, permissions or AutoSurvey’s own objects, or to system fields such as owner and record type.
  • Skips formula, roll-up and auto-number fields.
  • Does not go around your validation rules or required fields. A blocked write is recorded on the submission.
  • Does not apply a mapping change to a released survey until you release it again.
  • Needs a one-time sign-in setup in your org before it can build the flat reporting object.
  • Prefills only text, number, yes/no and single-choice questions with the Prefill Answers action.
